Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die…

Well, I just finished cleaning and rearranging Lucille’s cage. She’s pretty pissed with me I think. She wouldn’t come out of the tank so I had to block  her off while misting the ground mix. She’ll get over it. I haven’t messed with her in some time and she’s been inside the half log for 4 days so I just blocked the open end and did what needed done. I finally got her out of the log and it was a mess in there. Webbing everything, poo everywhere and cricket carcases! I had a piece of wood going up to form a enclosed corner. I instead put the wood on it’s side, built a mound and gave her another choice for comfort and seclusion. I went ahead and took the water dish out. I keep it nice and moist so she should have plenty of choices when thirsty. There are also water drops along the walls of the tank. I think she’ll be fine.

I would like to get some sort of plant to put in there. I would rather have something real but I don’t know if it would eventually get too hard to clean with the roots and all. I like to mix the soil and add new when cleaning it out. I always keep most of the old soil in the tank. The only benifit of the plant would be for drawing water from the leaves. I think something artificial could give me the same result.

I’m watching Naked Science at the moment. I’m so tired of hearing the same shit about the planets that have been said over and over and over. Find something new out! Instead of funding the war, fund Space travel and exploration. It’s much more fascinating and not so damaging to the world. Not only is it sad to see US soldiers being killed (although, it was their choice!) there are also people who are innocent and have nothing to do with the war. Maybe it’s just me…

I read an article about a lead scientist for Nasa who is heavily pierced! That’s always nice! I guess it’s true that if you’re good at what you do, nothing else matters! I really hate when people use their piercings as a reason they couldn’t get a job. I’m sure it’s true in some cases, but get a damn education and stop blaming your own faults on your piercings. It makes the people who actually have successful careers, with their modifications, look bad!

On a lighter note, I did take a nice new picture of Lucille, I’ll post it later!
